Do you have somewhere to store bikes? Bike Lockers?
Gold Runner is happy to accommodate bicycles on many of our trains. Here’s a quick overview of our bike policy:
Bike Reservations: You can bring your bike on board most Amtrak trains, but reservations are required. Please make a reservation for your bike in advance, as space is limited. Other trains have bike racks available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bike Fee: There is a small fee for bringing your bike, which varies by route. You can find the specific fee and availability by checking the route details during the booking process.
Bike Storage: Bicycles must be stored in designated areas or bike racks on the train. For some routes, we may offer a special bike car. Please confirm the storage options when you book your ticket.
Bike Type: We accept most standard bikes, but bikes with non-standard frames or cargo bikes may not be accommodated. For more details on the types of bikes allowed, please refer to the specific train’s policy.
Bike Size and Preparation: Ensure your bike is clean and in good working condition. You may need to partially disassemble it, such as removing the front wheel, depending on the train’s bike storage setup.
